Yesteryear Collection

In 1984, long time diecast and Matchbox collector, Bob Rusconi and his wife Carole, established the Automodel Exchange, which was to become Automodels Pty. Ltd. a few years later. Located in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta, Australia. Automodels has been serving the collectors fraternity for 12 years.

Automodels provides one of the largest selections of die cast collectibles to be found anywhere in the world. The Matchbox brands provide the cornerstone for Automodels product range and set the standard for quality and value.

Now, in 1996, Matchbox Collectibles and Automodels Pty. Ltd. come together to produce a Code 1 model commemorating Automodels dedication to the Matchbox brand.

Issued in a limited edition of only 3000 models, the Automodels Dodge Route Van will surely become one of the most sought after models released in 1996.

The model was packaged in plastic formers and the outer box was of the same dimensions as the Q1 style box. The model was not represented by a photograph but by a gold line drawing on a black hackground.
